That night. Jenny knocked on the door and Ashley answered.
“Hi Jen! Thank you for come we need to talk!”
“Sure Ashley! What’s up? You look…..Not yourself….”
“Yeah I know its cause Chris asked me to the dance!” Ashley said.
“Girl! You need to say YES!! You need to call him right now!!” Said Jenny.
“That’s the thing Jen! I told him no and that I didn’t think we were ever going to be more then friends……” Ashley said with tears in her eyes.
“Oh Ashley, why did you do that? You could have said I will think about it!”
“Should I still call him?” Ashley asked, hoping that Jenny would say no.
“Yes, you need to call him and tell him that you would love to go with him and also that you are sorry about saying what you did and tell him you were stressed that’s why you said it!! OK!” Jenny Said hopping that it will work.
“Oh OK! Please don’t let me chicken out! Here goes nothing!” Ashley said while punching in his number. Ring Ring Ring! Chris answered. “Hello.”
“Hi Chris…. Its Ashley.” “Oh hi Ashley! What’s up?”
“I am calling to……to say sorry about what I said when you asked me to the dance…”Ashley said.
“Oh well its behind us now and I am kinda OK with it…….our not really for a relation ship and I am fine with that even thought I am ready! I have to go I have some one to meet. Talk to you later.” Chris said as he hung up the phone.

“Um…………..Excuse me?” Ashley said trying to find what to say to that. “Please don’t make me ask again cause you will make me look bad……Oh we could go just as friends and see where that takes us…?” Chris said. “Oh…….Chris I really like you but only as a friend……Sorry….and I……don’t want to go….I am so sorry! But we can still be great friends! I will see you later! Bye!” “Oh……….OK Ashley, See you later. Bye, Said Chris. The next day it was very weird between Chris and Ashley. Right now its lunch time and the Ashley and Jenny are eating lunch when Nick walks up.
“Hi Ashley, Where’s you boy friend?” Asked Ashley.
“He’s not my boyfriend!! We are just friends.” Ashley said.
“I have not seen you with him since you were in the library talking. What happened? Said Chris but deep down he knew.
“Oh we were just talking about the dance……And that’s all……”
“Hey Nick this is between her and Chris! I think that’s all on that topic! Hey did you know that one thing of fries have more then 150 calories! Ha……” Said Jenny trying to change the topic, but it was not working. There was an awkward silence, but finally Ashley spoke. “OK but that this is not nice or anything but I have to go! I will see you after class! Oh yeah Jenny are you doin anything after school because I would like to know if you would like to come over and hang out with me?
“Oh…..Um…….I am pretty sure I have nothing going on.. See you later!” Jenny said.

It has been almost a year and the Ashley has been hanging out with Chris almost every day! They are pretty good friends now! Jenny and Nick are still together. Also the big dance is coming up [Not home coming] and everyone is getting very excited, everyone who is anyone is going with a date except Ashley because she does not have a boyfriend.
Right now she is studying in the library and Chris walks in.
“Hey Ashley. What are you doin?” Chris asked.
“What does it look like?” Joked Ashley. “No that’s not what I mean! What are you doin here, the “Prom” Is coming up and you are not getting a dress or anything! Whats up?” Said Chris. “I don’t want to go……I mean…….I….. I….” Ashley said.
“Oh, No one asked you??”Chris asked. “No that’s not the prob……I don’t have a boyfriend and I am not that good at dancing.” Said Ashley. “Ashley!! That is not true you can dance! At that one dance party, Man, Now you danced!” Said Chris jokingly.
“Oh your SO funny!! I was with all my friends!!”Ashley said. “Your friends are going to be there! Oh and I think you should go with…………well me.

Jenny sat down next to Ashley and Nick sat next to Jenny. Deep down Ashley was freaking out! Why would Jenny like Nick!! Out of all the guys in the school she had to pick the worst!!! “ Hey Ashley, I hope you don’t mind I thought I would ask Nick to have lunch with us.” Jenny Said.
“ Not at all! Unless he is going to threat me again!” Ashley said.
“Oh I am really sorry about that earlier but I think that Jenny is my true soul mate, so are we cool? Nick asked. “Cool as ice” Ashley said sarcastically, but he bought it.
“Cool! Maybe we can go on a double date Jenny and me and you and Chris!” Nick said.
“Were not going out! We are just friends!!” Ashley exclaims. “Yeah were just friends!” Said Nick. “OK then! Chill! We could just hang out as friends! Is that cool?” Nick asked.
Ever one said at one time! “Yeah sounds good!” “HAHA!” “Well that was weird!! We all said it at the some time!!” Said Ashley. Chris Had to go to class so he had to leave and Nick had to go to football practice. So the girls were alone!
“Jenny! Are you nuts!! Nick is playing you to get to me!” Ashley Exclaimed.
“What!! Are you mad at me just cause you like him!! You missed out he asked you out already!!! Jenny yelled. “No Jenny we have been friends since we were in kindergarten!!
Do you think I would lie to you!? I am trying to save you from another heart ache and this is how you thank me! Ashley Said. “Well………..No but I really like him and I think he is the one so thank you but I am going to be OK! Jenny said, but inside she had a feeling that Ashley was right but didn’t want to admit it. What was she going to do?!

When she came home she went to bed thinking about what Jenny had said about her having a boyfriend. When she woke up the next morning she was going to get a boy friend soon! She needed to start looking for a guy before it was to late! So when she got to school she started going through all the guys in the school and seeing who would be
the best and was trustworthy, It seemed that every guy was to stuck up and just a player.
So Ashley just gave up for two day and would start back two marrow. She walked up to her locker and Jenny was standing there waiting for her, Then this guy walks up.
“Hey, I’m Nick, your pretty cute. I think we would be a really cute couple, Don’t you think.?” Nick, said. Ashley said “No not really I don’t think we would please just leave me be.” “What! No girl in her right mind would say no to me.” Nick said.
“Please I have to get to class. I have to go.” Ashley said. “No! I want you to be my girl friend! I am not letting you go till you are my girl!” Said Nick.
“HEY YOU! Leave her alone! IF she tells you to move, MOVE! Chris said.
“You won’t always have him to protect you! I will get you!” Nick said. He walked away.
“Oh my gosh! Thank you SO much! I’m Ashley.”
“Your welcome! I’m Chris! I’m knew here and need some one to show me around would you?” Chris asked.
Ashley said, “I would love to but I have to go to math class, maybe after class.”
“I have math too right now! Can I follow you?” Chris asked.
“Sure lets go! Bye Jenny.” Ashley said.
School has stared! So we are going to meat up with them @lunch.

“Hey How about we sit her Chris?” Ashley asked.
“Yeah its good! Where’s Jenny?” Chris asked.
Ashley replied,” I am not really sure she may be with her boyfriend now but I am not really sure!” Chris asked, Don’t you have a boyfriend?” “No I don’t cause I am not that type of girl. When I see a cute guy I don’t just ask them if we could go out I get to know the guy and I think that the guy should make the 1st move you know? Like I am going to save myself and I think that a guy should be OK with that! You know!” Ashley said.
“Yeah I get that! I am the same way………except I like girls not guys! Ha!!”Chris said.
“Oh look! There’s Jenny with………..Nick!!!!!!!!!!!Oh my gosh!! Your kidding!!!!”Ashley Said. “Wait isn’t that the guy earlier? Chris asked.
“Yeah!” Ashley said.

Ashley says good bye to his mom and heads out to the mall to meet Jenny.
“Hey Jenny!” Says Ashley. “Hi Ashley! So I know its kinda a random question but
Have you found a boy friend yet?” Asked Jenny.
“I a going to wait till I have found the right guy but I don’t know when that will be. Said Ashley. “Oh OK then but I think Justin is the one for you. Jenny Said.
“Yeah says a girl how would date anything that breaths! HaHa! JK!!" I laughed.
Jenney,”Oh you think your SO funny! Well I think you need one because your popularity it not doin well cause you don’t have a guy!”
“Oh………Just because I don’t have a guy? Then I am not going to me that popular! Said Ashley. “I’m really sorry I brought that up…..Lets just pertend that I didn’t say that and just have fun shopping.?” Jenny asked.
“OK sounds good!! So where do you want to go?” Ashley Asked.
“I don’t know where ever.” Jenny Said.
After a great day shopping it was coming to the end, the girls said there good -byes and went there ways.
