~The Search: Chapter 18~

I woke up to my phone buzzing "Who the heck could that be!! Calling this early!" I looked at the clock, -OK maybe its not that early its 10. "Hello" I answered.

"Hey Ashley! Its Chris!"

"OH hey! Whats up?"

"Nothing much, We need to talk....."

"Ummm.....OK! When?"

"I can be at your house in about 15 min!"

"OK see you then!"
I closed the phone and ran to my dresser. Pulled out what i am going to wear and run to the bathroom to take a shower.
I was finally done and ready! -WOW!! I got done in 10 mins!! I am good!Ha Ha ha!-
Then the doorbell rang. I ran down the stairs to meet him.
"Hey Chris!"

"Ready?" He asked.

"Yeah lets go! Bye mom be back!"
We got in the car and started driving.

"So where are we going??" I asked.

"Anywhere i am just driving around!"

"How about one park with the woods and the pond?"

"OK"
We got there and started walking around the pond.

"So why did you need to talk to me? Is some thing wrong?"

"Nothing is wrong? Its just i have some news!" He said, sounding nervous.

"OK what's up?"
He took a deep breath and started.

"Well we have been dating for about.........6 or 7 months right?"

"Yeah i think, something like that."

"Well I have been offered a to go to France for 6 months, I know its a long time but i think i should take it. What do you think?"

"Ummm......." It was like i forgot how to talk. "Yeah i think you should take it" I lied.

"Really!! I haven't even talked to my parent yet!"

"Gosh!! When are you going to tell them??"

"I am not really sure, Want to be there when i tell them?"

"Sure!"

"OK lets go!"
We got to there house really fast. We walked through the door and found them in the TV room. Chris began.

"Mom and Dad, Can i talk to you?" He began.

"Yeah sure" His dad said while he turned off the Tv.

"OK me and Ashley have been talking"

"Your not getting married are you!!!" His mom yelled.

"NO!!!" I said trying not to laugh but failing!

"I am leaving for France in a week"

"OK well we will miss you but you can do whatever you want!" His mom added.
We stayed for a while. It was late so I had to go and he took me home.
His mom and dad were throwing a good-bye party for him the day before he leaves.
He was so busy i couldn't see him till then. It was a sad week.
How am i am going to live without him?
